Proud Honey

Proud Honey are a four-piece band formed and based in Glasgow. Their genre and influences are widely spread across rock'n'roll, indie, acoustic and popular music. This range of tastes and influences contributes to a sound which has been found to appeal to an extensive and diverse array of listeners. Their sound is an up to date blend of some of the past decades' biggest bands and they are keen to develop this sound all the while being aware of today's music market and what makes popular music.

New on the live circuit, Proud Honey have let the music do the talking and have found a rapid rise within the Glasgow music scene to play many of Glasgow's well respected venues. Highlights were a sell out Saturday night show at King Tut's Summer Nights Festival, then being invited to support English touring band 'The Chevin' on the Glasgow leg of their UK tour also at King Tut's. Shortly after this the band was given a main stage slot at the O2 Academy as part of the 'Futures Fest' showcase hosted by Smirnoff and BBC Introducing. O2's ABC and further Tut's gigs also helped cap a very productive and successful debut year for the group and gave them plenty to work towards in 2012. The passion for live performance always resonates on stage with their high energy act which engages the crowd and has contributed to their rapidly increasing fan base.

Proud Honey invested in their own studio in Glasgow where they concentrate on their passion for song writing and live performing and this also allows for the best possible environment to do what is required to maintain their tight and professional act and also results in a healthy output of material.
